The semiology of Life , orients its studies to daily and everyday life. It is about the personification of each individual by the peculiarity of his behaviors such as: grimace, word, caress and even the wink, forming a particular meaning. Semiology is responsible for studying, reading, translating and identifying: Signs, signals, codes and all methods of verbal and non-verbal communication such as: truths and lies, is based on identifying the processes that give meaning to people.
Biography of Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto
Semiology of Daily Life is an educational guide oriented to the progress of knowledge to enhance the quality of life for people, instituted by Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto.
On January 25, 1951 Alfonso Ruiz Soto was born in the town of Mexico. Thanks to his law studies, he graduated in 1973 from the UNAM Law School. The same year in which he graduated, he made a trip to Barcelona, a city in Spain. It is here that he collaborates in the literary creation and criticism workshop that is carried out by one of the most dedicated novelists in Chile, José Donoso.
After this he obtained his Doctorate from the University of Oxford in England graduating in Letters, consecutively they offer him to become a professor at the Faculty of Letters and they grant him the position of Official Examiner in the School of Arts for undergraduate students in the career of Spanish Language and Literature. However, he advanced as a Resident Tutor, professor and examiner at the University of Nottingham in England, it is here that he decides to continue his studies and becomes a resident to do his second doctorate in Semiology.
They give you the opportunity to participate in the International Congress on Semiotics and Hispanism, which is the first to be held in Madrid, a city in Spain, in 1983, demonstrating its model of: “Dynamic Theory of Literary and Non-Literary Genres”, which is organized by the Higher Council for Scientific Research. In 1985 he decides to return to Mexico and works as a full-time researcher at the Center for Literary Studies of the Institute of Philological Research of the UNAM and for six years he becomes a member of the National System of Researchers.
He becomes the creator and head of the Institute of Semiology SC, and carries out a new educational model sustained in the development of knowledge to raise the quality of life of the human being: the Semiology of Daily Life . In this system proposed by him, the person is placed at the center of the educational process, with knowledge at the center of the person. The opinion that a person has about himself is taken to the center of knowledge, that is, it is about the vocation of the center of self-concept and attendance at the vocation center.
From the Semiology of Daily Life came a single business learning recipe, the Semiology of Integral Productivity: The Human Factor. And it is Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto who has led it to its implementation as a guide, which covers all the perimeters of the daily life of the participants, within countless companies and foundations, both national and international.
The celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Semiology of Daily Life was in 2010, from this date to the present Dr. Ruiz Soto, who has been working hard alongside an interdisciplinary team of professionals, in the foundation of the “Colegio of Consultants and Communicators in Semiology of Daily Life.
fable of the fourth way
It is based on the practices that the Ukrainian Jorge Illich Gurdaiev carried out at some point, in his Sufis and Buddhists for his research at the Institute for the Harmonic Development of Man (IDAH). The name of the Fourth Way (CC) comes from the Buddhist and Hindu transcendence that deals with the paths of yoga: in the first 3 paths it is said that man has his characteristics in his genes.
- The fakir: is the first path and defines man as; rigid, paralyzed and fragile-minded person, with a lack of intelligence.
- The Monk: it is the second way; in which man is defined as devotional, this refers to religious people, with a great emotional will and something innocent.
- The Yogi is the third path; in which man is denoted as: an intellectual being, in which he can interpret any book and is capable of transforming his consciousness but is usually able to achieve his achievements and never reach anything.
In these 3 paths we can see that they are insufficient for the complete development of man, so a fourth path must be sought. May I illuminate and harmonize man with the entire universe until he is the owner and master of himself.
Philosophy of the fourth way for the semiology of Life
In the fascicles of Dr. Soto it is spoken of: “The integration of psychological, sociological and philosophical postulates […] resulting in a new educational proposal for the development of consciousness.” Reading this makes it a bit difficult to understand, the truth is that he explains it better in his course. What we do know is that these are 5 theories or ideologies.
This theory is based on the application of Buddhism to the West, especially conducive to business success, it seems somewhat strange because it contradicts Buddhism, which consists of detachment from the material.
Transpersonal Psychology is based on the concepts in which it is possible to contain all kinds of science based on the methods of Self-exploration and Transcendental Meditation and Eastern Philosophy combined all this.
As we mentioned on the last occasion, man can have the opportunity to reach the maximum of himself but for this he must first get to know himself as best as possible. For this, the doctor recommends that you examine the traditional and alternative paths, perhaps with the search or regression of past lives, out-of-body experiences, cosmic energy management, and other things that he explains in his courses.
Its use and technique is done by grasping a circle within a regular polygon with 9 points, which represent the 9 planets and signify the 9 types of personalities that, according to them, each one of us can have: lunar, venusian, jovial, saturnine, martial , mercurial, solar
Dr. Ruiz Soto used to teach the Enneagram courses in specific houses in Lomas de Chapultepec and Tecamachalco, for many businessmen this was quite strange and he began to be criticized since many of the businessmen’s wives attended the courses he taught and It was not very well seen or accepted.
So the doctor has to change method and that’s when he starts using the Heptagrama, which is basically the same, but it sounds different. In it, each person tries to discover himself: his personality type and his anticipation to manage his life according to his type, it is an adaptation to Mexico of the temperaments of the theory of the 12 suits of the English deck.
The pseudo-scientific theories of the beginning of the century: it is monopolized by a series that deals with those who try to explain reality with laws: in this it is expressed that, in each of us there are 5 great centers, with a certain number of hydrogens:
- Intellectual center: it is defined this way because the head is represented in it (48).
- Emotional center: it is defined this way because the entire thorax is focused on it (12).
- Motor center: it is defined this way because it is part of the lower part of the trunk (24).
- Intuitive center: this is the region of the back (24).
- sexual center (12).
Each of these centers requires a specific number of hydrogens to function and they are not interchangeable (the amount needed is marked in parentheses) to begin to have fullness, it begins with the 48 and these forming the fourth path.
The eclectic stream
This is directly related to sociology and is interpreted with the use of various techniques in order to achieve a new one, in reality the doctor is a specialist in combining different standards of thought, and often incompatible with each other.
What causes semiology of everyday life to be successful with the fourth way?
There are many elements but for now we are going to mention only four, which you know that Dr. Ruiz Soto implements in his courses
It gives the impression and emotion of providing great personal security: Dr. Ruiz Soto tells them:
“It’s you, only you, and no one but you.” “You. They don’t have to depend on anyone, not even me.” Being independent, free, feeling safe in the face of the great insecurity of the people who attend.
Inspire a certain familiarity is a very good communicator:
It gives the assurance that this path is excellent for me. Dr. Ruiz Soto is an excellent speaker, extremely friendly and engaging, who makes himself feel close to the public. The people who enroll in his courses think and say to themselves: “If I follow the fourth path, I will be like him”.
They offer the firmness to resolve conflict situations:
through self-affirmation and without fear of any type of rupture: the maximum rule is: “Do what you want, but in a conscious way”. Being an authentic individual and transforming myself in every moment.
“Semiology of Daily Life” sounds very interesting: Actually we believe that the title of the course is a strategy, there are women who enroll and take it completely but although if they learn when they leave they are still unable to define what is semiotics and you ask, why does it work, as a science in the literary or communication field? They cannot answer it, and it is because they will not learn it in the course, but nevertheless they feel important when they say that they are studying Semiology.
His favorite phrases: “freedom is the right to be yourself” “Whoever does not let you be yourself is that he does not love you”. Love is “the free act par excellence”. The bachelor is “the independent. Happy. Only at his house”. The married: “the children either join or separate. First the couple, then the children.
The absurdities between semiology of life and the Catholic faith
These have a lot to do with what he thinks and what he studies in Dr. Soto and through his courses as a window to the world contradicts what the Bible and the Catholic faith explain to us that we must comply.
The meaning of being human: in the bible the purpose and the functions that the human being must fulfill are clearly explained, the bible speaks to us in 2 Kings 18:3-4:
“3: He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done. 4: He removed the high places, and broke the images, and cut down the symbols of Asherah, and smashed the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because until then the children of Israel burned incense to it; and he called her Nehushtan”
This makes relevance on the behavior that we must have and that we have to be upright, but for semiology of life there is no Christianity. And in them the human being is specified as an egocentric being, without transcendence, one hundred percent materialistic, determined to act according to his instincts.
2.-The true faith
In the fourth path, it is said that there is no true faith, and it is more oriented by saying that all religions are the same: “Choose the religion you want”, says the Doctor in his courses. sect is spoken of is only “another religion different from mine”. In CC all suffering is negative: I know from the Buddhist concept adapted to Western hedonism and contrary to Christianity, where we value suffering as a means of salvation and sanctification. (Words of Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto).
3.-Reinterpretation of Christianity
Reinterpretation of Christianity: a total and extensive explanation of the Our Father is carried out in which there is an interpretation which is contradictory to the Christian one. It has a vision focused on the belief system of those who maintain that the entire universe is the only God and of the scenarios as all the movements of the new age.
“All the Christian concepts they use are emptied of content and reinterpreted. God does not exist for them as a person, but as cosmic energy.
Although it may not be believed that there is a certain warning sign regarding the interpretation of these courses, to get an idea of what they mean I will give you an example: Dr. Soto, on his website where he explains on the subject of Heptagrama stating that; “For most people, the great impediment to enjoying life is usually other people: parents or partners; children or employees; friends or family.” This has led several women who take the course to abandon their children and their husbands “because they hinder their personal fulfillment.”
Phrase quotes from Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto
Some quotes from phrases by Dr. Alfonso Ruiz Soto, with which his semiology of life courses are carried out:
- “Happiness is an attitude of the human spirit: nothing and no one can make us happy, except ourselves.”
- “Life is not transformed, the Being is transformed; life only happens accordingly.”
- “We do not live the facts, we live what the facts mean in our internal scenario of consciousness.”
- “The origin of all our ills lies in the ignorance of ourselves.”
- “Reality is what it is, but life is what it means.”
It is with this word that Doctor Soto makes an invitation to participate in his courses and with which he manages to be so successful.
Criteria that are developed
In this course, it is observed that semiology and the fourth path, in which some specific points of all kinds of inclination similar to the new era are developed, such as:
- cosmic energy.
- All religions are the same.
- Deep ecology.
It is a fact that we must make human beings aware and it touches on points in which things like:
That tries to instruct people in what is the authenticity of faith, through illustrations in family, in school, and to be well prepared so as not to let ourselves be manipulated.
There are numerous people who, although they have good intentions, end up falling into style or sect-type movements due to the great lack of information that, due to personal needs, they are involved in this type of thing. The objective is to help them, warning of the damage that these courses cause to those who take them, to separate them from them and from everything that has to do with them. However, there are those who already feel in control of themselves and very well when they are in these classes. of courses.
The best idea to support women leaders is with the formation of groups that go or are organizing in such a way that it does not collide with the thoughts of others: we must prevent, it is really the best. There are people who assure that: “Once inside, it is very difficult to get people to reintegrate, because the most serious consequences are family disintegration and skepticism about life.”
The Kind Of Person Who Takes This Course
People who are attracted to this course are usually:
- Women who feel used or dissatisfied in their marriage and lives.
- Women who feel lack in love, that is, women who are used as an object of pleasure.
What kind of people are taking these kinds of courses?
The main people who attend these courses are people characterized as: People with great emotional deficiencies and lack of meaning in life: these courses are offered with a supposed intention: “for anyone who wants to regain confidence in life and inhabit a fuller, more harmonious, more lucid existence” this is the kind of things that are proposed to them and the people who capture those emotional needs and meaning of life.
Most of these courses are aimed at people with money or upper class
and there are many women who attend, I don’t know if they feel emotionally abandoned by their husbands or if they have a certain spiritual emptiness, perhaps because they feel hopeless and They believe that they have not achieved happiness in their life project. The organizers of this type of course place a lot of emphasis on the emotional and sexual center, inviting women to liberate themselves from their emotional problems and difficulties, and I think that is what surrounds them.
People with a lack of faith and Catholic morality also tend to attend, as we already know, the ideology of the fourth way is in total disagreement with faith and Catholic morality, it is for this reason that it is believed that when people do not have reason to believe and ignorance of their faith, make them take courses and are unable to observe the problems and inconsistencies with the faith they claim to profess and these are called blasphemy.
