Organization of the Lullaby of the Child God
Father: He is the one who always makes a call to recognize all the sacrifices that Jesus made for us and the fact that we are sinners in soul and body and we must ask for spiritual salvation.
Family group: We must pray the I confess recognizing that we are sinners, followed by the Our Father that we all know or at least should know.
“I confess before almighty God and before you brothers, that I have sinned a lot in thought, word, deed and omission. Because of me, because of me, because of my great fault. Therefore, I ask Holy Mary, ever Virgin, the angels, the saints and you, brothers, to intercede for me before God, our Lord. ”
The mother or the father: is in charge of reading the Gospels of Saint Luke 2,2:11 to remember how that beautiful night in which Jesus was born happened.
Luke 2 says; Jesus birth
2.-In those days Augustus Caesar decreed that a census be taken throughout the Roman Empire. 3: So they all went to register, each one to his own town. 4: Joseph also, who was a descendant of King David, went up from Nazareth, a city in Galilee, to Judea. He went to Bethlehem, the City of David, 5: to register with his wife Mary.
She was with child 6: and, while they were there, the time was fulfilled for her. 7: So she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and put him to bed in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
The shepherds and the angels
8: In that same region there were some shepherds who spent the night in the field, taking turns looking after their flocks. 9: It happened that an angel of the Lord appeared to them. The glory of the Lord enveloped them in its light, and they were filled with fear. 10: But the angel said to them: “Do not be afraid. Look, I bring you good news that will be a source of great joy for all the people. 11: Today a Savior has been born to you in the City of David, who is Christ the Lord. 12: This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”
13: Suddenly a multitude of angels appeared from heaven, praising God and saying: 14: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those who enjoy his good will. 15: When the angels went to heaven, the shepherds said to each other: Let’s go to Bethlehem, to see what has happened and that the Lord has made known to us
16: So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. 17: When they saw the child, they told what they had been told about him, 18: and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said. 19: Mary, for her part, kept all these things in her heart and meditated on them. 20: The shepherds returned glorifying and praising God for what they had seen and heard, for everything happened just as they had been told.
Mother: She is in charge of explaining to the most and especially to the smallest of the house that these are the words of God and we must remember them and keep them in our hearts.
Family group: It has become a custom that the smallest of the house kisses the Christ child before putting him in the manger, in the same way all the relatives who want to hold him and kiss him do so.
Once the Christ child is already located in the manger, they begin to sing to him and make different requests. To close the tradition, the mother or father can say a few words to thank for all the positive things and why not, negative that have helped them grow and unite them as a family.
Family group: Everyone gives thanks to God and ends by saying Amen.
The following very poetic song is usually sung by the smallest of the home in the company of adults, after placing the child God in the manger and is the following:
To the rorro child, to the rorro ro
that you came to this world
only for this love.
You are already closing those little eyes of yours,
but at the same time you look at all the sins.
Your tender tears
are a demonstration that you love me;
Well, you suffer hardships, little boy of my soul.
For a cradle I give you, my loyal heart,
but I don’t deserve it and I ask you to forgive me.
Do not make faces, you must sleep beloved father
that the great sin committed, causes you a great conflict.
The pain makes me see two animals,
how fine and faithful your love fills them with tenderness.
They called you Jesus,
as a loving father, you have given me light.
Receive with pleasure this rorro ro,
which I am very glad to offer you.
My dear father, my God and lord,
who suffers with joy from the cold and rigor.
In this sad winter you my God were born,
from all my sins you already freed me.
Delights of the world mean grief and sorrow,
that’s why the eternal became human.
In glory, angelic voices make your song,
so that you can sleep and enjoy this dream.
